The Most Magical Place On Earth!

This past weekend I flew out, by MYSELF!, to Anaheim, CA to see Josh for a few days.  He has had to stay out there for 2 weeks due to his new job.  He will be home this weekend, WOO HOO!.  We decided to make the most out of my trip out there so we had a jammed packed weekend.  I am a complete Disney freak! I love everything about it.  That Friday night we went to Downtown Disney, walked around and ate at the Rainforest Cafe.  That saturday we got up super early and was at the Park when it opened.  We rode all of the rides that we wanted and our longest wait was only about 15 minutes. After the rides, the food and many footsteps later I finally got to see Mickey! We got our pic made with him and picked up a frozen lemonade and left for a much needed nap.  Afterwards, we headed back to the park and watched the characters parade.  We had made dinner reservations at the Blue Bayou Restaurant.  It was a very neat place to eat. It was actually located inside the Pirates of the Carribean ride.  It was set up like you were eating at a New Orleans bistro at night.  We both ordered the Surf n Turf and had NO complaints.  We got finished and of course took the time to sit down and people watch.  I love to people watch, especially in theme parks.  I love to see what they have chosen to wear. You see women with dresses, wedges heels and hair that is pageant ready.  It blows my mind!  THEN the big show started! I was so excited to see the fireworks show, but I had NO idea what I was fixing to watch. They put on a show called Fantasmic over the water.  It is absolutely amazing! It puts the fireworks show to shame. However, I definitely enjoyed watching the fireworks afterwards.  I am such a kid, I teared up watching them.  It is just such a magical place and to watch those little kids actually thinking that every bit of it is real and believing that it is all done with magic makes me giddy.  And embarrassingly when I look and meet with the characters it never crosses my mind that there is actually a human in that costume. Here are lots of pics from my trip!

I loved the Mickey cookie

This was at Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. It was all you could eat and it was delish!

It was very dark in Blue Bayou but the food and the experience was awesome

a waterfall in the Pirates of the Carribean

The Haunted Mansion

Splash Mountain

The worse ride ever! You literally had to paddle your way through the ride.

My favorite!

Minnie's House

Almost there

AHH FINALLY! I waited in line for a while but it was worth it.

The man with a mighty good plan.... and his side kick

The orginal Cinderellas Castle

Now, if everyone would live by this we would all be a lot happier

So I told you about the awsome fantasmic show.... I have uploaded a video on here. It is during that show.  A little girl was on her daddy's shoulders and when Mickey defeated the evil villan that baby cheered and clapped.  She was so excited that Mickey had saved the day..... PRICELESS!

This was the end of the show.....

Thankful for Answered Prayers

As most of you know Josh had a job with Howard Technology that demanded he be on the road for at least 2-4 nights out of EVERY week.  I have definitely adapted to the "single, but married" lifestyle.  By saying that I mean that I have adapted to keeping up with the house, the dogs, the bills, the unexpected things by myself.  I do not in anyway get angry with Josh for not being there with those things happen, I just get angry that those things always happens when he is gone.  He is my rock and my best friend and I hate not having him at home.  The stress of his job, on a scale of 1 to 10, was a 100.  He worked like a mad man to keep the wheels greased.  I have so much respect for him and his work ethic.  He will work to 2 or 3 in the morning on a job just so it will be nicely up and running the next morning for a client.  I could go on and on about the job but in a nutshell he had to make a move b/c a 28 year old does not need high blood pressure, anxiety through the roof and an upset stomach all of the time.  He is not one to complain he just sucks it up and does it b/c it provides well for our family.
The opportunity of a life time come available and brought to his attention.  When he told me about I did not for one second have any hesitation.  Now you have to know this is not my character. I am not one for change, definitely not one that could possibly mess with our income.  But knowing and seeing just how stressed he was I could have cared less.  So he put together his exceptional resume and applied for the job.  He was immediately set up for an interview and a couple of days later he was made an offer that he could not refuse.  He will be working for a company out of Anaheim, California.  He will have a home office and be gone away from home for only about 8-10 nights a MONTH.  I am so proud of him.  I am so thankful to God for blessing us and for answering our prayers.
The new job started this past Monday.  He will be gone for 2 weeks for training in California.  I am flying out this weekend to see him and go to Disney Land. I am so nervous about going through the airport motions alone!  I will definitely have pics for that trip.

Rollin on the River

This past weekend was my absolute favorite way to spend a weekend... on the the River!  A couple of years ago I got a jet ski.  I have wanted one ever since I was in high school.  We spent so many weekends at a friend of ours (Brittney & Micahs) family camp.  It was so much fun riding skis and taking their boat out to Horne Island.  Josh and I got to see a side of the Coast that we really didn't know existed.  However, summers came and summers went, the Welborns had a bay bay and Micah started school in New Orleans and life became so busy so our weekends at the camp came to a hault.  I think we went maybe one time last summer.
So back to this weekend..... The Brooks' & The Blackledges decided to go riding. And I am very glad that we did.  We actually found a great place to stay.  It was at Indian Pointe in Gautier.  They rent cabins, have a cafe, 2 pools, putt putt golf, boat launch and nice views.  I had a lot of anxiety about Ella getting on a jet ski on that big river but she was a TROOPER!.  Ada and Ella both rode like they were pros. I forgot my camera! Everyone right that down! I just couldnt believe it! But oh well.  We def had a great time and I cannot wait to go again.
