Josh and I have been married (happily lol) for almost 6 years now!... but our story starts almost 13 years ago. I was 14 and in the 8th grade and he was 15 and in the 9th grade at Northeast Jones. With me being in the new middle school building I didn't have permission to go over to the high school building.... EXCEPT my home-ec class was in that building. Josh played jr. high football and had to quit due to a surgery that he had on his arm earlier in the year. By quitting football he had to be placed in a class to replace football. So, he was placed in this off the wall class that just so happen to be by my home ec class. YAY!! :). We passed notes and phone numbers back and forth through a mutual friend and that, my friends, is how it began! There is so much to say and talk about in regards to our "courting" but that would take all day. Long story short we dating all the way through high school (with those petty break-ups, of course) and into college. Josh auditioned for Six Flags in New Orleans as an entertainer and lived down there for 2 summers. At the end of his last summer he moved to Phoenix, AZ to enroll in to the Conservatory of Recording Art & Sciences. I stayed here and started USM. We had major odds against us with the 26 hour away relationship... BUT WE MADE IT! On April 2, 2005 we were married. I married my best friend and my soul mate. The first years were nothing pretty.... We were broke, unsettled, and faced many challenges with ourselves, family situations and other not so fun stuff. But we made it, we always do. And now life is pretty grand. He is the love of my life and I don't know what I would do without him.
I know that a lot of people that blog have human children to talk about. We are working on that but as of now we just have 4 legged furry children. Looci, my boxer, was a Christmas present to me when I was jr in highschool and Gunner, josh's bulldog, was gotten from his favorite uncle when he was in college. These two have been with us through everything. I love them so much! They think they are human, literally. They sleep with us sometimes, cuddle with us on the couch and think they have to have some of everything that we eat. We are eager to start a family and i think that Looci and Gunner are going to love having a baby to watch over.
